Justice U.U. Lalit Nominated as Executive Chairman of NALSA

The President of India, Sri Ram Nath Kovind has nominated Justice Uday U Lalit as the next Executive Chairman of National Legal Services Authority ( NALSA) with immediate effect.
Regarding this Ministry of Law and Justice has issued a notification in the Official Gazette. The post was previously occupied by the Chief Justice of India NV Ramana.
Justice Uday U. Lalit is the son of Retd. Justice UR. Lalit, a former additional judge of the Bombay High Court, Nagpur bench and a senior counsel practicing at the Supreme Court. Justice U.U. Lalit was elevated as Judge in the year 2014. Currently he is the part of Supreme Court collegium. He is also in line to be 49th Chief Justice of India.

Instead of stopping the deforestation, the government was bent on cutting the forest there in Chhatarpur Buxwaha, it is really unfortunate. Government is going to cut well-flourished jungle consisting of more than 2 lakhs trees, not for developing something which may be necessary for the nation. It is for completely unnecessary for common people. It is just to flood the money in to pockets of some diamond Industrialists, few contractors and politicians. I want to request Government of Madhya Pradesh and Government of India, kindly do not do this, it will be like disaster.

Government of India takes intiatives as directed by SC for elimination of child pornography.

Facebook Vs. Union of India (2019) PIB (Press Information Bureau) has clarified via its publication dated 20th June, 2021 that the Supreme court directed the Government of India to frame necessary guidelines to eliminate the child pornography and related contents in online platforms and other applications. Therefore, in accordance with this judgment the GOI came up with Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.  The court said it is imperative to frame proper regime to find out the persons, institutions, and bodies who were the originators of such content messages.
