Ten High Court judges of Bombay High Court elevated as permanent judges, now it reaches to 62 judges while the sanctioned strength of the Bombay High Court is of 94 judges as per the latest data available on the website of the Department of Justice. According to a notification issued by the Department of Justice, comprising Justices Avinash Gunwant Gharote, Nitin Bhagawantrao Suryawanshi, Anil Satyavijay Kilor, Milind Narendra Jadhav, Mukund Govindrao Sewlikar, Virendrasingh Gyansingh Bisht, Debadwar Bhalchandra Ugrasen, Mukulika Shrikant Jawalkar, Surendra Pandharinath Tavade, and Nitin Rudrasen Borkar were to be additional judges of the Bombay High Court, now made permanent. Usually Additional judges are appointed for a period of two years before they are elevated as permanent judges.

Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, who is a 1985 batch IPS officer currently serving as the Director General of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), appointed as new CBI Director on the recommendation of the three member panel constitutes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Justice of India NV Ramana and leader of opposition Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.

Amid surge of COVID-19 issues in e- filing raised by Practicing Advocates , highcourt provided the facility of e filing and listing of cases through the electronic mode along with the setup of help desk to resolve the issues but serious grievances raised by the practicing Advocates. 52 advocates practicing before the Allahabad High Court have written to the Acting Chief Justice Sanjay Yadav and other senior judges, highlighting issues regarding e-filing and listing of cases which have been filed through the electronic mode and raised serious grievances against the help desk setup to aid the lawyers in e-filing and virtual hearings. The President of India, Sri Ram Nath Kovind has nominated Justice Uday U Lalit as the next Executive Chairman of National Legal Services Authority ( NALSA) with immediate effect. Regarding this Ministry of Law and Justice has issued a notification in the Official Gazette. The post was previously occupied by the Chief Justice of India NV Ramana. Justice Uday U. Lalit is the son of Retd. Justice UR. Lalit, a former additional judge of the Bombay High Court, Nagpur bench and a senior counsel practicing at the Supreme Court. Justice U.U. Lalit was elevated as Judge in the year 2014. Currently he is the part of Supreme Court collegium. He is also in line to be 49th Chief Justice of India.

Bhartiya Janta Party ( BJP) has approached the Supreme Court seeking and enquiry by the CBI into the post poll violence, rapes and murder that have been reported in West Bengal. Spokesperson and Senior Advocate Gaurav Bhatia in his petition has said that violence has been orchestrated by the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) against people who voted for other parties in assembly election and cited the murder of Avijit Sarkar along with mercilessly killed pets by the TMC workers.

On Sunday, amid the surge of COVID-19, the Solicitor General of India Tushar Mehta given a strong statement before a division bench of Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Rekha Palli, Delhi High Court, " Black-marketeers and hoarders must be afraid that even if God forgives them, the government will not", after Senior Advocate G Tushar Rao informed the Court that oxygen flow meter was being sold for Rs. 4 thousands as opposed to actual price of Rs. 800 and Advocate Arun Adhlaka added that the oxygen refillers were seeking as much as Rs. 20000 for a refill.  Agreeing with the Solicitor General the court remarked, "It has to be dealt with an iron hand. It's playing with people's misery".
